# Every new window, a fair share

Switch a display from the strip to a grid, and every window you open divides the screen into smaller pieces.

- **For each display:** Choose Strip, Grid or Off for each display, or switch the one you're on with ⌃⌥G.
- **Zoom a cell:** Full width zooms a cell to the whole screen, and back again.
- **Stacks and tabs inside:** A grid cell can hold a stack or a tabbed column too.

**Scrolling Windows is optional.** It stays off until you turn it on. While it's on, window snapping and automatic window snapshots pause, and restoring a workspace turns it off; the strip saves its own session instead.
