Windows on a strip, room to keep going
Turn on Scrolling Windows and every window becomes a column on a strip that runs past the edges of the screen. Open another app and it slides in beside the one you're using, without squeezing the rest.
Nothing gets squeezed
Windows keep their widths. Move the focus and the strip scrolls to bring the next column into view.
Every action on the keyboard
Focus, move, stack, resize and send windows with ⌃⌥ shortcuts. An action can have several, and you can change them all.
Picks up where you left off
Column order, widths, stacks and grids come back after a restart, and each display keeps its own strip.
Scrolling Windows is optional. It stays off until you turn it on. While it's on, window snapping and automatic window snapshots pause, and restoring a workspace turns it off; the strip saves its own session instead.

Column widths
Cycle a column through preset widths, nudge it wider or narrower, make it full width or center it on screen.
Try it live ›Stacks
Stack a window into the column on its left or right, reorder it, change its height, and pop it back out on either side.
Try it live ›Tabbed columns
Turn a stack into tabs when each window deserves the full height. A clickable tab bar shows what's in the column.
Try it live ›Grid tiling
Switch a display from the strip to a grid, and every window you open divides the screen into smaller pieces.
Try it live ›Strip overview
Hold ⌃⌥ to see the whole strip. Click a column to jump there, or drag it to reorder the strip.
Try it live ›Scrolling on several displays
In Scrolling Windows, each display keeps its own strip or grid. Send windows to the next display, and switch Scrolling Windows off for any display.
