Universal Display Magnet 0.2.5 comes as one download for every Mac.
- One app for every Mac: the same download now runs natively on both Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
- Opens normally: the app is signed and notarized by Apple.

Universal Display Magnet 0.2.4 speaks your language: the whole app is translated into 17 languages besides English.
- Languages: Čeština, Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano, Magyar, Nederlands, Polski, Português (Brasil), Svenska, Türkçe, Русский, Українська, 日本語, 한국어, 简体中文 and 繁體中文, including the menus, alerts, the Activity log and the permission prompts.
- Settings → Language: the app follows your Mac's language by default; pick another one there and restart the app to switch.

Universal Display Magnet 0.2.3 makes automatic window snapshots much cheaper.
- Window autosave: when no window has moved since the last snapshot, Universal Display Magnet skips asking every app for its windows, which costs a second or more of CPU each time. A full snapshot is still taken at least every 10 minutes, when windows move, and right before the Mac sleeps.

Universal Display Magnet 0.2.2 uses much less CPU while it runs in the menu bar.
- Menu bar: sync traffic from your other Macs no longer redraws the menu bar icon on every display or rebuilds the app's menus.
- Panel and windows: the menu bar panel and the app's windows stop updating once closed, and reopen instantly in the same place.
- Activity: reading Universal Control's log stops while the page is hidden; reopening it catches up on what it missed.

Universal Display Magnet 0.2.1 adds an About page.
- About: a new sidebar page, also under Universal Display Magnet → About Universal Display Magnet, shows the version, build and system, with Copy Version Info for bug reports, links to the project, release notes and issues, and a short privacy summary and credits.

- Same app: no feature changes from 0.1.2.

Universal Display Magnet 0.1.2 keeps running in the menu bar when you close its window, without taking a spot in the Dock.
- Menu bar mode: closing the window removes the Dock icon (and the app from ⌘-Tab) while shortcuts, window snapping, sync, wake and the Activity log keep working. Opening the window again from the menu bar panel, a shortcut, Spotlight or Finder brings the Dock icon and app menus back. Choose Quit in the menu bar panel to stop it.
- Open at login: a login launch now starts in the menu bar only, with no window and no Dock icon.

Universal Display Magnet 0.1.1 helps when Universal Control stops working: see what went wrong, reset it on both Macs in one click, and get your arrangement back.
- Reset Universal Control: restarts the services Universal Control runs on (Bluetooth discovery, the Continuity link and Universal Control itself) on this Mac and, over your local network, on the other Mac. Afterwards the arrangement you set is put back if Universal Control lost it. In Displays → Reset Universal Control and on the Universal Control page.
- Arrangement kept: the app remembers the cross-Mac arrangement you last set, so it can restore it when another Mac replaces it with an empty one and Universal Control starts placing the Macs on its own.
- Activity: a new page (
⌘6) that reads Universal Control's log and shows in plain words what happens between your Macs: Bluetooth signal dropouts, when Universal Control gives up on the other Mac, connections, pointer crossings, arrangement changes and keyboard/mouse input it had to throw away, plus what Universal Display Magnet did. Counts for the last hour, a problems-only filter and Copy. - Sync: messages from newer versions that this version doesn't know are now ignored instead of being rejected.
Install 0.1.1 on both Macs: the reset reaches the other Mac only when it runs 0.1.1 or later.

Universal Display Magnet 0.1.0 is the first release: snap your monitors together, arrange Universal Control across your Macs, and get every window back to its monitor and Desktop.
- Display arrangement: drag displays and they snap flush and line up, or press Snap Displays Together. Arrangements are saved per set of monitors and re-applied when they reconnect, wake or get shuffled. Works without a built-in display.
- Universal Control: see both Macs' displays where Universal Control has them and drag them flush against each other. The arrangement is applied straight into Universal Control, live on both Macs, with an undo.
- Workspaces: save the monitor arrangement and every app's windows, per Desktop and full-screen Space, with a drawn preview, a choice of apps and an optional shortcut. Windows already in place are left alone when restoring.
- Window snapping: Magnet's commands and shortcuts, custom sizes drawn on a grid, and drag-to-edge snapping with a preview.
- Two Macs: arrangements and workspaces sync over the local network, encrypted, with nothing to pair; waking or unlocking one Mac wakes the other.
- Updates: the app checks this repository's releases once a day and offers new versions; turn it off under Settings → Updates.
